Welcome to our laboratory. We are in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the University of Cincinnati Metabolic Diseases Institute. The overall aim of the lab is to understand the mechanisms by which the body protects itself from heart disease. We use mutagenesis and spectroscopic techniques to study the structure/function relationships of the proteins that comprise high density lipoproteins.
